AMG memboyong SLS supercar dengan opsinal individual pada Dubai International Motor Show 2009. SLS AMG Desert Gold, begitu nama sport supercar dua bangku asal Jerman ini diberikan.

Model ini menjadi sangat terbatas, karena kekhususan warna bodynya. Layaknya sebongkah emas murni di gurun pasir, SLS AMG Desert Gold dengan kelir matt gold hanya dipesan oleh konsumen yang ingin membayar lebih.

Desert Gold adalah satu dari sembilan warna istimewa yang diberikan paket individual dari AMG Performance Studio, termasuk grey magno, designo magno alanite grey, dan alubeam silver.

Desert Gold tak hanya menawarkan paket berbeda pada pilihan warna keseluruhan. Beberapa ornamen, seperti : grill, sirip samping, dan celah udara masuk di kap mesin, dilebur dengan deep black paint.

Velg yang diusung juga menampilkan penampilan tersendiri. Tidak seperti SLS versi standard, Desert Gold membekali velg alloy warna hitam (9.5 x 19 inci di depan, dan 11.0 x 20 inci di belakang), lengkap dengan cincin emas yang melingkari velg.

Pada interior, perbedaan ditunjukkan melalui kesan sport black. Bangku sport bucket berkolaborasi dengan konsol dan trim dari solid carbon-fibre.

Material yang sama bahkan terlihat ketika kap mesinnya dibuka. Disana AMG menutup mesin V8 6.3-liter bertenaga 571 hp dengan serat karbon berkualitas tinggi. Pergeseran cepat transmisi 7 kecepatan dual-clutch pun lantas melesatkan mobil emas ini.

To bring the security level of the class C to a new level of alert the driver of danger, or, if necessary, corrective action force.

The new bonnet with its change PowerDome is now aluminum. New clear-lens headlamps emphasize the distinctive car, the presence of self-confidence, especially when the optional Intelligent Light System (ILS) is also specified. The wide front wings with “6.3 AMG” legend and five new double-spoke wheels AMG light alloy, which are painted titanium gray and glossy finish dominate the side view. good contact with the road is ensured by the wide 235/40 R 18 and 255/35 R 18 tires front and rear respectively.
